SplashPad: $1 gets you all day entertainment

It amazes me that some people in Kannapolis still are not aware of the great SplashPad in Kannapolis.

The SplashPad has different areas designated for different skill levels as follows:

1,250 sq. ft area for ages 5 and under
2,850 sq. ft area for ages 6-12

Don't worry though, big kids are allowed in to cool off too! This isn't just a wading pool, the splash pad is any kid's dream pool: Buckets rain water down, fountains pour from umbrella, they can even shoot each other with water cannons!

Cost:
Daily: $1 per person: kids can play to their hearts content (or until their parents fall over from exhaustion). Parents are admitted free of charge if they do not play, but unless it's absolutely not affordable I recommend paying the $1 to really interact with your kids AND cool off.
Punch Cards: Punch cards are my favorite option. For $15 you get 20 entries into the park and the punch card can be used for more than one person and are transferable.
Season Passes: These passes are a great option if you think you will visit on a regular basis. Cost is $45 for residents and $55 for non residents. The passes are good for one season and nontransferable.

Hours:
During the summer season the SplashPad is open seven days a week. While the SplashPad is open in the fall and spring, it operates on weekends only and hours vary. It is always best to call before going to visit to verify hours. Summer hours are listed as:

Monday Thru Saturday 10am-7am
Sunday 12pm-6pm

The SplashPad is located in Village Park. More information on Village Park and regulations for the SplashPad can be found at The City of Kannapolis Website. Tomorrows post will cover more things to do in Village Park.
